Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Line baking sheets with silicone mats.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream room temperature butter and granulated sugar on medium speed for 3 to 4 minutes until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract and mix on low speed until fully combined.
  4. Gradually add in the all-purpose flour and salt, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  5. If desired, divide the dough and add gel food coloring one drop at a time, mixing until achieving preferred color.
  6. Fill the cookie press with the prepared dough and press onto lined baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  7. Sprinkle sprinkles over the cookie dough shapes if desired.
  8. Bake cookies for 5 to 8 minutes, until set but lightly colored.
  9. Remove from oven and let cool on sheets for about 4 to 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
