Preparation Steps
- Soak your cedar planks in water for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours.
- While the planks soak, whisk together the marinade ingredients in a bowl.
- Place salmon fillets in a resealable bag or dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, cleaning the grill grates beforehand.
- Remove cedar planks from water and dry them. Place the marinated salmon on the plank, skin-side down.
- Carefully place the cedar plank on the grill, close the lid, and cook for 10-15 minutes until the salmon reaches 145°F.
- Remove the cedar plank from the grill and let the salmon rest for a few minutes before serving.
