  • 2 tablespoons Butter cold for flakiness
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 cup Onion, diced
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Carrots, diced
  • 1 cup Celery, diced
  • 1 cup Mushrooms, sliced
  • ¼ cup Flour
  • 2 cups Broth (Chicken or Seafood)
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup Shrimp, cooked and chopped
  • 1 cup Crab meat, lump
  • 1 cup Frozen Peas
  • ¼ cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
Biscuit Topping
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded recommended
  • ½ cup Cold Butter, melted
  • ¾ cup Buttermilk

Preparation
  1. Sauté the vegetables: Melt butter and olive oil in a skillet, add onion and garlic, and sauté until fragrant. Add carrots, celery, and mushrooms; cook until tender.
  2. Thicken the filling: Sprinkle flour over sautéed vegetables, stir, then whisk in broth and heavy cream until thickened.
  3. Add seafood and season: Mix in paprika, Old Bay, shrimp, crab, peas, and parsley; remove from heat.
  4. Prepare biscuit dough: Mix flour, baking powder, garlic powder, and salt. Stir in cheese, melted butter, and buttermilk until combined.
  5. Assemble the pot pie: Pour filling into a baking dish, drop spoonfuls of biscuit dough on top, brush with butter, and sprinkle with parsley.
  6. Bake and serve: Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and filling is bubbling. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
