  5. Sift in the flour, baking soda, and salt, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently with a spatula.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden and centers are soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
