Preparation

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the base ingredients (Rice Chex, Wheat Chex, pretzel sticks, pecans, dried cranberries) and gently stir until mixed.
  3. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Whisk in the brown sugar, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth for about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Pour the warm glaze over the dry ingredients and fold gently to coat everything evenly.
  5. Line the baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the mixture evenly in a single layer.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to promote even cooking.
  7. Once golden and crisp, remove from the oven and cool completely on the sheet for about 10-15 minutes.
  8. Transfer to an airtight container and store at room temperature for up to one week.
