  • 240 g dry macaroni whole wheat or chickpea pasta can boost protein

  • 1 tbsp minced garlic fresh garlic is best
  • 100 g chopped white onion any variety of onion is fine
  • 75 g red bell pepper
  • 75 g green bell pepper
  • 75 g yellow bell pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Paprika to taste
  • Chili flakes to taste
For the Creamy Sauce
  • 140 g light cream cheese or full-fat for richer taste
  • 50 g shredded mozzarella any melting cheese works
  • 3-4 light cheese slices choose favorite melting cheese
  • 125 ml reserved pasta water can substitute with broth
For Garnishing
  • Fresh parsley for color and freshness

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add dry macaroni and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic, chopped onion, and bell peppers. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until tender.
  3. Crumble in ground beef, increase heat slightly, and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes.
  4. Lower heat and add cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, and cheese slices. Stir until cheese melts to create a creamy sauce.
  5. Add cooked macaroni and reserved pasta water. Stir well to coat each noodle in the creamy sauce.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve hot.
