Cooking Instructions
- Boil a large pot of salted water. Add pasta and cook according to package instructions, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- In a sauté pan, heat olive oil over low to medium heat. Add onion and garlic, stirring for about 3-5 minutes until the onions are translucent.
- Transfer sautéed onion and garlic to a blender. Add white beans, lemon juice, and reserved pasta water. Blend until smooth.
- Check the sauce consistency; if too thick, add remaining pasta water gradually while blending until smooth.
- Pour the blended sauce back into the sauté pan over low heat. Stir and warm for 3-5 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Add the drained pasta to the sauce. Toss gently to coat the pasta evenly in the sauce.
- Serve immediately, garnished with parsley and red pepper flakes, if desired.
