  • 6 Tbsp Dark Rum
  • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
  • Firm Ripe Bananas Sliced
Crisp Topping
  • 1 cup Quick Cooking Oats Avoid instant oats
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Cold Salted Butter Cubed
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Walnuts Feel free to substitute with pecans
For Serving
  • Vanilla Ice Cream For serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and coat a baking dish with melted butter.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet, add cream, corn syrup, and brown sugar, and cook until bubbly.
  3. Remove from heat, stir in rum and vanilla, then toss in banana slices.
  4. Pour banana mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Combine dry crisp topping ingredients, cut in butter until textured, then fold in walnuts.
  6. Spread the crisp topping over the banana mixture evenly.
  7. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and bubbling.
  8. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving warm with vanilla ice cream.
