Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt 1 cup of unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over low heat, then stir in granulated and brown sugar.
- Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then whisk in the eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl and fold into the wet mixture.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips, then pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft.
- Let brownies cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to cut out brownie hearts.
- Dust each brownie with powdered sugar and add heart sprinkles for decoration.
