- In another bowl, whisk together egg, buttermilk, melted butter, and almond extract.
- Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients and fold until just combined; do not overmix.
- Gently fold in 1/2 cup of sprinkles, saving some for topping.
- Transfer batter to loaf pan, smoothing the top, and bake for 45-50 minutes.
- Cool in pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely for 1-2 hours.
- In a bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, buttermilk, and light corn syrup for the glaze.
- Once bread is cool, pour glaze over the top and sprinkle with reserved nonpareils.
