Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare Blueberry Puree: Blend 1½ cups of fresh or thawed blueberries in a food processor until smooth. Simmer in a saucepan for 10-12 minutes until reduced to ½ cup.
  2. Preheat Oven & Prep Dish: Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C). Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper.
  3. Mix Wet Ingredients: Combine melted butter and sugar, whisk until smooth. Then add eggs, vanilla, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  4. Incorporate Blueberry Puree: Fold cooled blueberry puree into the wet mixture gently.
  5. Add Dry Ingredients: Gradually sift in flour and fold until just combined; do not over-mix.
  6. Bake: Spread batter in the dish and bake for 35-40 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick.
  7. Cool & Glaze: Cool brownies for 20-30 minutes and prepare glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla. Apply glaze over cooled brownies.
  8. Cut & Store: Lift brownies using parchment and cut into 16 squares. Store in an airtight container.
