  • 1 cup Baking Chocolate/Chocolate Melts Choose high-quality chocolate
Filling
  • 1 cup Candies/Sprinkles Assorted colorful candies and sprinkles
Sealing
  • 1/2 cup Remaining Melted Chocolate Used as glue to seal eggs

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Wash and dry the plastic Easter eggs thoroughly.
  2. Melt the baking chocolate in a large microwave-safe bowl, stirring until smooth.
  3. Spoon melted chocolate into half of each plastic egg, filling to about 1/4 inch from the top.
  4. Press the top half of the egg on and spin gently to coat the interior with chocolate.
  5. Freeze the filled eggs upright for 6-8 minutes until chocolate is firm.
  6. Gently squeeze the plastic egg to remove the chocolate shell.
  7. Cut a tiny hole at the bottom of each egg for filling.
  8. Fill each egg through the hole with candies and sprinkles.
  9. Seal the hole with remaining melted chocolate.
  10. Decorate and present in clear treat bags with ribbons.
