Step-by-Step Instructions for Blackberry Chia Jam
- In a medium pot, combine 2 cups of frozen blackberries and the juice of half a lemon over medium-low heat. Stir gently for about 5 minutes.
- Using a potato masher, mash the softened blackberries right in the pot, leaving some chunks for texture. This process should take about 2-3 minutes.
- Add 1/4 cup of maple syrup and 2 tablespoons of chia seeds to the mixture. Stir thoroughly and cook for another 5 minutes until it thickens.
- Remove the pot from heat and let it cool for about 10 minutes. After cooling, pour the jam into a clean jar and refrigerate.
