Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (or 375°F for an air fryer). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough and cut into rectangles measuring roughly 4x6 inches.
- Spoon marinara or pizza sauce onto the center of each dough rectangle, leaving space around the edges. Add shredded mozzarella cheese and optional toppings.
- Fold each dough rectangle over to create a pocket, press edges together firmly, and use a fork to crimp edges.
- Beat an egg for egg wash and coat the tops of each sealed pocket. Sprinkle with oregano or garlic powder.
- Place the pockets onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown. For air fryer, set for 8–10 minutes.
- Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving with marinara sauce for dipping.
