  • 1 package Refrigerated Pizza Dough Crescent roll dough for flakier bite.
For the Filling
  • 1 cup Marinara or Pizza Sauce Homemade or store-bought.
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Dairy-free cheese is an excellent substitute.
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Optional for extra flavor.
  • 1 cup Mini Pepperoni or Cooked Sausage Can swap with cooked vegetables.
  • 1 cup Chopped Bell Peppers, Mushrooms, or Olives Mix and match any veggies you love.
For Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning Homemade blend of oregano, basil, and thyme works wonderfully.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes Optional for a kick of heat.
For the Finish
  • 1 large Egg For egg wash; milk can be used for a dairy-free alternative.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano or Garlic Powder For garnish.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (or 375°F for an air fryer). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough and cut into rectangles measuring roughly 4x6 inches.
  3. Spoon marinara or pizza sauce onto the center of each dough rectangle, leaving space around the edges. Add shredded mozzarella cheese and optional toppings.
  4. Fold each dough rectangle over to create a pocket, press edges together firmly, and use a fork to crimp edges.
  5. Beat an egg for egg wash and coat the tops of each sealed pocket. Sprinkle with oregano or garlic powder.
  6. Place the pockets onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown. For air fryer, set for 8–10 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving with marinara sauce for dipping.
