Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Pat the flounder filets dry with a paper towel, then season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a sauté pan over high heat until shimmering, about 2 minutes.
  3. Dredge flounder filets in flour, shaking off the excess, and place in the hot pan.
  4. Cook for about 2 minutes until edges turn opaque, then flip and cook for 1-2 more minutes.
  5. Transfer the cooked filets to a plate and cover lightly to keep warm.
  6. In the same pan, lower heat to medium and add salted butter, swirling until it turns golden brown.
  7. Add thyme and lemon juice, stirring for a minute to meld the flavors.
  8. Plate the filets, drizzle with the brown butter sauce, and garnish with parsley.
