Equipment

  • Grill
  • tongs

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by rinsing the fresh asparagus under cold water to remove any dirt. Trim the tough ends of the stalks, cutting about an inch off the bottom.
  2. Drizzle a generous amount of olive oil over the asparagus, ensuring each stalk is lightly coated. Sprinkle salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium heat, aiming for around 350°F (175°C). Ensure your cooking grates are clean.
  4. Place the seasoned asparagus directly on the grill grates. Close the lid and grill for 6–8 minutes, turning occasionally.
  5. In the last 3 minutes of grilling, baste the asparagus with honey to add sweetness and caramelize them.
  6. Once the asparagus reaches a crisp-tender state, remove it from the grill. Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle fresh tarragon on top.
