Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by rinsing the fresh asparagus under cold water to remove any dirt. Trim the tough ends of the stalks, cutting about an inch off the bottom.
- Drizzle a generous amount of olive oil over the asparagus, ensuring each stalk is lightly coated. Sprinkle salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste.
- Preheat your grill to medium heat, aiming for around 350°F (175°C). Ensure your cooking grates are clean.
- Place the seasoned asparagus directly on the grill grates. Close the lid and grill for 6–8 minutes, turning occasionally.
- In the last 3 minutes of grilling, baste the asparagus with honey to add sweetness and caramelize them.
- Once the asparagus reaches a crisp-tender state, remove it from the grill. Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle fresh tarragon on top.
