Preparation Steps

  3. Pre-bake zucchini slices on parchment-lined baking trays for 10 minutes; pat dry after.
  4. Mix ricotta, Parmesan, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper in a bowl with fresh basil.
  5. Layer marinara sauce, zucchini noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella in a baking dish.
  6. Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly. Broil for crispiness if desired.
  7. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
