Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by bringing 4 cups of water to a rolling boil in a medium-sized pot.
- Add 1 cup of dried hibiscus petals and 1-2 thinly sliced fresh ginger pieces to the boiling water. Cover and let steep for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat and gradually stir in your choice of sweetener to taste.
- Using a fine mesh strainer, carefully pour the tea into a pitcher to separate the liquid from the hibiscus petals and ginger slices.
- Let the strained tea cool to room temperature before transferring it to the refrigerator.
- Once chilled, fill glasses with ice and add lime wheels before pouring the iced tea over the ice.
