Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until smooth, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture and blend until fully incorporated.
  4. Slowly add the flour, corn starch, baking soda, and salt, mixing on low until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and optional Halloween sprinkles using a spatula.
  6. Scoop about 1/4 cup of dough, flatten it, place an Oreo in the center, and wrap the dough around it.
  7. Shape the cookies and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spaced apart.
  8. Bake for about 10 minutes until slightly underbaked for a chewy texture.
  9. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top, cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
