Step-by-Step Instructions for Almond Cherry Bread
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C) and spray an 8.5-inch loaf pan with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the eggs, Greek yogurt, buttermilk, melted butter, almond extract, vanilla extract, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Sift together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt, then gradually add to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  4. Prepare the cherries by pitting, quartering, and tossing them with cornstarch. Fold them and sliced almonds into the batter, reserving some for topping.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and top with reserved cherries and sliced almonds.
  6. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean and the top is golden brown. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  7. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Whisk together the glaze ingredients and drizzle over the cooled bread.
