Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by placing 8 to 10 slices of bacon in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until crispy and golden brown, about 8-10 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to cool, then chop into small pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped crispy bacon with 8 ounces of softened goat cheese and 2 to 3 tablespoons of hot honey. Mix until well blended.
  3. Lay out a sheet of plastic wrap. Spoon the goat cheese and bacon mixture onto the wrap, shape into a log, twist the ends to seal, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice a baguette into 1/4-inch thick slices. Brush with olive oil and bake for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Remove the chilled log from the refrigerator, unwrap it, slice into rounds, and arrange on a serving platter with toasted crostini. Drizzle extra hot honey over the top if desired.
