Step‑by‑Step Instructions
- Begin by placing your chocolate sandwich cookies (Oreos) in a food processor. Pulse until they transform into fine crumbs, about 30–45 seconds.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with softened cream cheese. Use a spatula or your hands to blend until the mixture is smooth and well incorporated, which should take about 2 minutes.
- Scoop out about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a 1-inch ball. Place the formed balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- While your cookie balls chill, twist apart additional chocolate sandwich cookies to create the bat wings.
- Melt your chocolate according to package instructions, and dip each cookie ball into the melted chocolate to coat.
- Attach the Oreo halves as wings to each dipped cookie ball before the chocolate coating hardens.
- Use the melted chocolate to attach mini chocolate chips as eyes and ears on the bat.
- Let the decorated cookie balls sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to set the chocolate.
