Ingredients
  

For the Dough
  • 1 cup Whole Milk Warm
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter Very soft
  • 2.5 cups All-Purpose Flour Avoid bread flour
  • 2 packets Rapid Rise Yeast
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 large Egg Room temperature
For the Filling
  • 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon Can substitute with pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Cloves
  • 4 tablespoons Very Soft Butter For spreading
For the Topping
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 1/2 cup Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 pinch Salt For balancing sweetness
  • 1 cup Pecan Halves & Chopped Pecans

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or oil. In a small saucepan, heat the milk, melt the butter, and cool to 115-120°F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, yeast, sugar, and salt. Add the cooled milk and butter mixture, then the egg, and mix until combined.
  3. Lightly knead the dough for a minute, place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
  4. Prepare the filling by mixing light brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and soft butter until thick paste forms.
  5. Roll the risen dough into a rectangle, spread filling, roll tightly, slice into 12 pieces, and place in the prepared dish.
  6. Cover assembled rolls and let them rise for about 30 minutes, then preheat the oven to 350°F.
  7. Bake the rolls for 18-20 minutes or until lightly browned, watching until golden brown and aromatic.
  8. Prepare the topping by melting butter, mixing in brown sugar, heavy cream, and salt. Coat pecans in the mixture.
  9. After baking, let buns cool for a few minutes then drizzle with the pecan topping.
