Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your cake pan by greasing it.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add softened butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to dry mixture. Mix on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  4. Pour batter into prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick.
  5. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
