Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook 1 pound of ground beef with 1 diced onion and 2 minced garlic cloves over medium heat until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
  3. Stir in 3 cups of marinara sauce and 2 tablespoons of tomato paste. Let it simmer on low for 5-10 minutes.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix 15 ounces of ricotta cheese with half of the Parmesan cheese and salt/pepper to taste.
  5. Layer in the baking dish with meat sauce, lasagna noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella. Repeat layers finishing with meat sauce and cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Then remove foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until cheese is golden brown.
  7. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
