Preparation Steps
- Preheat your grill to high heat, around 450°F (232°C). Allow the grill several minutes to heat up.
- In a small bowl, melt the butter and mix in garlic seasoning for the garlic butter glaze.
- Crisp the pepperoni slices by microwaving them between paper towels for 15 seconds.
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, Italian sausage, salt, and pepper. Form into four equal-sized patties.
- Grill the patties for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Brush the buns with garlic butter, then grill cut-side down for about 1 minute until golden brown.
- Assemble the burgers: place a patty on the bottom half of a bun, add pizza sauce, mozzarella, and crispy pepperoni.
- Optionally, melt the cheese by broiling the assembled burgers for a minute or two.
