Method
 

Crust Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, cream together cold, unsalted butter and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. Gradually add all-purpose flour, mixing until crumbly. Grease a baking pan and press the dough evenly into the bottom.
  2. Place the baking pan in the preheated oven and bake the crust for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
Caramel Layer
  1. In a saucepan over medium-low heat, warm your caramel sauce, stirring constantly. Once it’s smooth, spread the caramel over the baked crust.
  2. Sprinkle toasted pecans generously across the caramel layer.
Chocolate Topping
  1. Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth. Pour and spread the melted chocolate over the caramel and pecan layer.
Cooling
  1. Allow the bars to cool completely at room temperature for about 1-2 hours or place them in the refrigerator for quicker results.
