Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Cheesy Cheddar Broccoli Casserole
  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a large saucepan, combine the condensed cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, 1 cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese, and 1-1/4 cups of French-fried onions. Stir continuously for about 4-5 minutes until well blended.
  3. Add the thawed broccoli florets to the sauce mixture, gently folding them in.
  4. Grease a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray or butter. Carefully pour the broccoli mixture into the prepared dish.
  5. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until edges are bubbling and the top turns golden brown.
  6. Once out of the oven, sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheddar cheese and 1 cup of French-fried onions on top. Return to the oven for an additional 10-15 minutes.
