Step-by-Step Instructions for Miso Glazed Black Cod
  1. Prepare Marinade: In a medium saucepan, combine white miso, sake, mirin, and brown sugar. Heat over medium for 5 minutes until smooth. Remove from heat and cool.
  2. Marinate Fish: Place black cod fillets in a container, pour in marinade, seal, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Bake Fish: Preheat oven to 400°F, line a baking sheet with parchment, place fillets on it, and bake for 8-10 minutes until opaque.
  4. Broil Fish: Turn oven to broil and broil for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Prepare Vegetables: Heat oil in a skillet, add bok choy stems and shiitake mushrooms, cooking for 2-3 minutes. Stir in garlic for 30 seconds.
