  • 1 cup hot coffee can be replaced with boiling water

Method
 

Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13 inch baking pan by lining the bottom with parchment paper and greasing the sides.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and fine sea salt until combined.
  3. Add the whole milk, vegetable oil, sour cream, large eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and mix gently until combined.
  4. Gradually add the hot coffee to the batter, mixing until smooth and thin.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
