Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Start by placing the sliced yellow onion at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the minced garlic, chicken broth, olive oil, dried oregano, ground paprika, salt, and black pepper. Whisk together.
  3. Carefully place the chicken on top of the onions in the slow cooker and pour the seasoning mixture over it.
  4. Cover and let the chicken cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours until it shreds easily with a fork.
  5. Remove the chicken and shred it on a cutting board. Mix with cooking juices and onions.
  6. Warm pita bread, fill with shredded chicken, and add fresh toppings and tzatziki sauce.
