Ingredients

For the Clusters
  • 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter Substitution: Crunchy peanut butter can add delightful texture.
  • 1 cup Chocolate Chips Semi-sweet or dark chocolate is preferred.
  • 2 cups Mini Pretzels Fresh pretzels yield the best texture.
  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar Optional: Skip it for a less sweet snack.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Optional: Enhances flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Sea Salt Optional: Enhances sweet-salty balance.
  • Optional Mix-Ins Chopped nuts, shredded coconut, candy pieces, or dried fruit.

Equipment

  • microwave-safe bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • spatula
  • resealable plastic bag
  • Rolling Pin

Method

Preparation Steps
  1. Start by taking your mini pretzels and placing them in a resealable plastic bag. Lightly crush the pretzels using a rolling pin until mostly bite-sized but still crunchy.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine creamy peanut butter and chocolate chips. Microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring in between, until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Once melted, stir in the vanilla extract and powdered sugar (if using) until glossy and thick.
  4. Fold in the crushed pretzels gently with a spatula until evenly coated.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Drop spoonfuls of the pretzel mixture onto the sheet, shaping them into clusters.
  6. Sprinkle extra pretzels, sea salt, or chopped nuts on top of each cluster before they set.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes until firm.
  8. Once firm, serve immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
