  • 150 g Whipping cream Substitute with coconut cream for a dairy-free version.
  • 75 g Granulated sugar Adjust based on sweetness of the grapefruit used.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract Use pure vanilla extract for the best taste.
For the Topping
  • 150 g Whipped cream topping Can be flavored with additional vanilla or citrus zest.
  • 1 tablespoon Powdered sugar Sweetens the whipped cream topping.
For the Garnish
  • Pistachios & grapefruit segments Substitute with any preferred nuts for variation.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a small bowl, pour the fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice and sprinkle the gelatin powder over the top. Allow it to sit undisturbed for about 5 minutes.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the whipping cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract over medium heat. Stir gently until sugar dissolves.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin mixture. Whisk gently until fully dissolved.
  4. Pour the warm panna cotta mixture into chilled ramekins. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours until set.
  5. When nearly set, whip additional cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  6. Spoon a dollop of whipped cream on each panna cotta, and garnish with grapefruit segments and crushed pistachios before serving.
