- Preheat your grill or campfire to medium heat, around 350°F (175°C).
- Cut a piece of heavy-duty foil about 12 inches square and lay it flat. Place each salmon fillet skin-side down on the foil.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, minced basil, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper, then spoon over the salmon fillets.
- Fold the edges of the foil over the salmon to create a tight seal. Crimp the edges to form a packet.
- Place the sealed foil packet on the grill or campfire and cook for about 10 to 15 minutes until salmon easily flakes with a fork.
- Carefully open the foil packet to release the steam and serve with optional lemon wedges.
