Prepare Greek Yogurt Sauce

Make Beef Kofta
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, za'atar seasoning, kosher salt, ground black pepper, minced shallot, chopped parsley, minced garlic, and beaten egg. Mix gently until just combined.
Form Kofta
- Lightly oil hands and shape the beef mixture into elongated patties, about 3-4 inches long and 1-inch thick.
Cook Kofta
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil. Add kofta patties and cook for 12-14 minutes, flipping occasionally until browned and cooked to an internal temperature of 160°F.
Serve
- Transfer cooked kofta to a plate and drizzle with Greek yogurt sauce. Serve warm with pita bread, fresh vegetables, or salad.
