- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet or wok. Add 1 pound of lean ground beef and cook for about 5 minutes until browned, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Stir in 1 finely diced onion and 1 julienned carrot, cooking for 5 to 7 minutes until the onion softens and becomes translucent.
- Add 3 cloves of minced garlic, cooking for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
