For the Seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar Coconut sugar can be used as an alternative
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika Smoked paprika adds extra flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt Use table salt in smaller amounts if necessary
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Can be substituted with onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Swap with garlic powder if preferred
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly ground is the most aromatic
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Thyme Mixed Italian herbs can be used
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried Oregano Mixed Italian herbs can be used
  • 1 pinch Cayenne Pepper Optional, based on spice tolerance

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F) and prepare a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  2. Combine 4 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter with 3 cloves of minced garlic in a bowl.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of kosher salt, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, ½ teaspoon of black pepper, ½ teaspoon of dried thyme, ½ teaspoon of dried oregano, and cayenne pepper.
  4. Toss the chicken wings in the seasoning mixture until evenly coated.
  5. Drizzle the garlic butter over the wings and gently toss to combine.
  6. Spread the wings out in a single layer on the baking tray.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes, basting with pan juices at 30 and 40 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
