  • 1 cup brown basmati rice high-quality
  • 1 cup quinoa optional
  • 1 lb shrimp deveined and cleaned
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup fresh herbs chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Rinse the rice and quinoa under cold water.
  2. In a pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil.
  3. Add the rinsed rice and quinoa, then reduce heat and cover.
  4. Cook on low for about 20 minutes or until the rice is tender.
  5. In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté the shrimp until pink.
  6. Fluff the rice and quinoa mixture, then gently mix in the shrimp.
  7. Garnish with freshly chopped herbs before serving.
