  • 1 tablespoon Coarse salt For topping

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare the Dough: In a stand mixer, combine all-purpose flour, sugar, instant yeast, warm milk, melted butter, and salt. Mix on medium speed for 4-5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  2. Let the Dough Rise: Cover with a towel and let rise for 30-60 minutes until nearly doubled in size.
  3. Preheat the Oven: Preheat to 450°F (230°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  4. Boil the Baking Soda Bath: In a large pot, boil 8 cups of water and add ½ cup of baking soda.
  5. Shape the Dough: Punch down the risen dough, divide into 12 pieces, and roll into ¾-inch ropes.
  6. Boil the Pretzel Bites: Boil each batch for 30 seconds; transfer to baking sheets.
  7. Brush and Sprinkle: Brush egg wash over bites and sprinkle with coarse salt.
  8. Bake to Perfection: Bake for 12-14 minutes until golden brown.
