  • 2 tablespoons honey maple syrup is a great vegan option
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar coconut sugar makes a healthier alternative
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil can be omitted if unavailable
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch arrowroot powder or flour can be used instead
For Garnishing
  • 2 stalks green onions slice and sprinkle on top based on preference
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds provides crunch and extra flavor
  • to taste chili flakes offers a spicy kick

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Cook noodles by boiling salted water and adding noodles, cooking 4-6 minutes until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet, add chicken thighs in a single layer, and cook for 6-8 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water until smooth.
  4. Sauté minced garlic in the skillet on medium heat for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet, pour sauce over, and simmer for 3-5 minutes until sauce thickens.
  6. Add cooked noodles to the skillet, and toss with chicken and sauce for 1-2 minutes until coated.
  7. Remove from heat, serve hot, and garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and chili flakes.
