Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Cream together the unsalted butter and dark brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and molasses, mixing until just combined.
  3. Whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg in a separate bowl.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
  5. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Scoop the chilled dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each scoop.
