Ingredients

For the Brownies
  • 1 box Brownie Mix Opt for a homemade recipe if desired.
  • 1 pint Fresh Strawberries Hulled and rinsed.
  • 1 cup Marshmallows Substitute with bananas or angel food cake if desired.
For the Drizzle
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips Consider dark chocolate for a healthier alternative.
For Assembly
  • 10 pieces Wooden Skewers Necessary for creating the kabobs.

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Mixing bowl
  • Wooden Skewers
  • Microwave
  • Baking dish
  • Parchment paper

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven as per the brownie mix package instructions. Combine the mix with water, oil, and eggs, then pour into a greased baking dish. Bake for about 20–25 minutes at 350°F until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the brownies to cool completely before cutting into squares.
  2. Rinse your fresh strawberries thoroughly under cold water. Hull each berry to remove the green tops. Ensure the strawberries are dry before assembly.
  3. Thread a square of brownie onto a wooden skewer, followed by a strawberry and a marshmallow. Repeat until the skewer is filled, leaving space at the bottom for handling.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, measure out your semi-sweet chocolate chips. Microwave in short intervals, stirring, until fully melted and smooth. This takes about 1–2 minutes.
  5. Dip the top half of the assembled kabobs into the melted chocolate or drizzle it over each kabob. Place them on a parchment-lined baking tray.
  6. Refrigerate the kabobs for about 10–15 minutes until the chocolate has set. Serve them on a platter or in jars for presentation.
