Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, add your lean ground beef and cook for about 5–7 minutes until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, large egg, and dried oregano, mixing until smooth.
- In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of the meat sauce across the bottom. Layer the lasagna noodles, add ricotta mixture, and sprinkle shredded mozzarella. Repeat until ingredients are used up, finishing with mozzarella on top.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it rest for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
