For the Slaw
  • 2 cups Shredded Cabbage Mix Includes shredded carrots; pre-packaged mixes recommended
  • 1/4 cup Mayonnaise Can use Greek yogurt for a lighter option
  • 2 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar Can substitute with lemon juice
For the Seasoning Blend
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika Adjust to taste

Method
 

Preparing the Marinade
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the lime juice, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, and salt.
  2. Allow the flavors to meld for about one minute while you gather other ingredients.
Setting Up Dredging Station
  1. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs.
Coating Fish Strips
  1. Coat marinated fish strips in flour, then dip into eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
Making Slaw
  1. Combine shredded cabbage and carrots. Add mayonnaise, lime juice, and apple cider vinegar.
  2. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
Cooking Fish
  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook coated fish strips for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
