Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add pearl couscous, stir for 2-3 minutes until fragrant and golden.
  2. Pour in water or broth, stir gently and increase heat to high. Cover and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low, keep covered and simmer for approximately 15 minutes until liquid is absorbed and couscous is tender.
  4. Remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and add lemon zest, juice, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and herbs.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve warm or cool as a salad.
